Christophe Tassan

Christophe Tassan, the “Meilleur Ouvrier de France” sommelier, was bestowed with the elite honor in January 2004, and as designated master of his craft, the highly esteemed and finest sommelier of France joined the Le Bec Fin team in November of 2005.

Monsieur Tassan has taken part in creating his own enterprise. As a wine and restaurant consultant he has taken an active role in restaurant development and in wine brand management.

Monsieur Tassan studied his craft at the University of Wines at the Château de Suze La Rousse and has been more than twenty- five years in dining room service. In his duel role of General Manager and Sommelier of Le Bec Fin, Monsieur Tassan makes himself accessible to the guests of Le Bec Fin, daily.

In addition to having been involved in international wine promotions in Tahiti, Denmark, Belgium and Japan. He has been vigorously involved in creating wine club organizations internationally.

With an incredible knowledge base and a passion for wines and wine production, Christophe Tassan has lent his expert skills to famous French restaurant and has created special wine menus and unique cellar collections in many of these establishments.

After years of being a finalist in the MOF Sommelier competition and the honor of being the Maitre Sommelier of the Union of the Sommellerie Française, Tassan brought his expertise and knowledge of the practices of cuisine and wine harmony to the patrons of Le Bec-Fin.
